Connect YouTube Comments Downloader to Claude

Before you start

• ✓A YouTube Comments Downloader account. A free account lets you try it with its free credits; for regular use, get the subscription. Prepaid credit packs and the desktop app license do not include AI app access.
• ✓A Claude account on any plan: Free, Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise. The Free plan allows one custom connector.
• ✓On Team and Enterprise, only an Owner (or, on Enterprise, someone with permission to manage connectors) can add the connector. After that, each member connects their own account.
• ✓A computer with a web browser. You add the connector on claude.ai.

Add the connector (Free, Pro, and Max)

1. 1Go to claude.ai/customize/connectors, or click Customize, then Connectors.
2. 2Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
3. 3For the name, type YouTube Comments Downloader. Paste the server URL from above, then click Continue.
4. 4Claude shows the sign-in settings it found. Click Continue.
5. 5Under Authentication, choose Sign in now. Under OAuth client, choose Register automatically. The other OAuth options do not work with this connector.
6. 6Click Add. A YouTube Comments Downloader window opens. Sign in with your account and click Approve.
7. 7In a chat, click the + button at the bottom left, open Connectors, and turn on YouTube Comments Downloader.

Team and Enterprise

An Owner adds the connector for the whole organization first. Members then connect their own YouTube Comments Downloader account.

1. 1Owner: go to Organization settings → Connectors, click Add, point to Custom, and select Web. Use the same name, server URL, and Register automatically option as above.
2. 2Member: go to Customize → Connectors, find YouTube Comments Downloader, and click Connect.
3. 3Sign in with your YouTube Comments Downloader account and click Approve.

Try a first request

If something goes wrong

The sign-in window says your plan does not include it

Prepaid credit packs and the desktop app license do not include AI app access. Subscribe, then add the connector again.

Claude says your plan does not include access

The subscription on your account has ended. Subscribe again, then ask again. If it still fails, remove YouTube Comments Downloader and add it again.

The connector does not show up in a chat

Click + at the bottom left of the chat, open Connectors, and make sure YouTube Comments Downloader is turned on.

You picked the wrong setting

Claude cannot edit a custom connector. Remove it in Customize → Connectors and add it again.
